When Movies Were a Dime is the author’s third book. It is a sequel to When Coffee Was a Nickel and Penny Candy Days. The author’s intent is to share a slice of life during the years before television, the "Dirty 30’s, WWII and post war" years.

Those were the days when small towns were the hub of family life. Neighbors and kinfolk were the treasures of the heart. People worked hard but also had fun in the "good old days" when they were growing up.
